Unveiling of the Aeris project

On May 16, the Horne Smelter held a public information meeting at Rouyn-Noranda's Agora des Arts to unveil plans for its Aeris modernization project. 

Engaged participation

The event brought together around 200 participants, from community residents to representatives of various local organisations, as well as industry professionals and Horne Smelter retirees. The presence of a diverse audience confirmed the importance of the Aeris project for the Rouyn-Noranda community, and enabled an open and transparent discussion about what lies ahead.

Information stands

On site, experts from the Horne Smelter provided exhaustive details of the innovations planned as part of the Aeris modernization project. They highlighted technological improvements aimed at reducing the smelter's emissions, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. What's more, the kiosk concept made for plenty of fruitful exchanges and discussions.
