EVR is proud of its extensive history in British Columbia’s Elk Valley and operates four steelmaking coal operations in the region. EVR is one of the world’s largest seaborne exporters of steelmaking coal with a focus on social and environmental responsibility.
Elkview
Elkview Operations is one of EVR’s four steelmaking coal operations located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia (approximately three kilometres east of Sparwood, BC).
Fording River
Fording River Operations is one of EVR’s four steelmaking coal operations located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia (approximately 29 kilometres northeast of the community of Elkford, BC).
Greenhills
Greenhills Operations is one of our four steelmaking coal operations located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia (approximately eight kilometres northeast of the community of Elkford, BC).
Line Creek
Line Creek Operations is one of our four steelmaking coal operations located in the Elk Valley of British Columbia (approximately 25 kilometres north of Sparwood, BC).
Neptune Terminals
EVR owns 46% of Neptune Terminals, a bulk shipping terminal in North Vancouver, BC.
Elk Valley Access Boundaries
There are no access, no hunting and no shooting safety boundaries clearly signed around all EVR operations and exploration sites in the Elk Valley.

Projects
Fording River Extension
The Fording River Extension (FRX) Project is a proposed extension of EVR’s existing Fording River Operations (FRO) and is anticipated to extend the lifespan of FRO by approximately 35 years. The Project is an opportunity for EVR to continue building on our commitment to responsible resource development, and our efforts to minimize and mitigate our impact on the environment and build strong partnerships with communities and Indigenous Peoples.
