EVR - Elk Valley Resources
Sustainability
Responsible environmental performance, maintaining stringent safety standards, and building strong partnerships with Indigenous Peoples built on care and trust, underpin our approach to operating.
Water quality
EVR will continue to implement its Elk Valley Water Quality Plan and, in addition, conduct ongoing research and development focused on developing and implementing innovations to manage and improve water quality.
Biodiversity management
From project design to operational closure, we focus on reducing our physical footprint on land by identifying, managing and addressing our actual and potential impacts on biodiversity, and by applying the principles of the mitigation hierarchy (avoid, minimize, rehabilitate, offset).
Dust management
Managing fugitive dust is a priority for EVR and we have dedicated resources focused on minimizing the impacts of dust year-round; this includes efforts to reduce dust and looking at innovative ways to improve both air quality and visibility.

Forced and child labour
We recognize the risks of forced labour, modern slavery, child labour, human trafficking and other labour standards violations within our supply chains.
