Siren Operation – Emergency Drill – May 7th, 2026 – 11 a.m.

NOTICE TO CITIZENS: CEZinc, along with the municipalities of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague, and Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka, would like to inform citizens that a public alert drill will take place on May 7th at 11 a.m.

The operation will last between 5 and 10 minutes. While the sirens may be heard beyond the targeted area, only businesses and residents of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield located within a 3.5 km radius of the CEZinc plant will receive a test message from the Automated Emergency Messaging System (SAM).

NO action is required on your part. The end of the siren will signal the conclusion of the drill.

In 2015, CEZinc was recognized by the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) for its involvement in the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) initiative.

The TSM initiative allows communities to learn about the concrete actions companies are taking, particularly in community relations, health and safety, and biodiversity, in order to meet their environmental and social commitments.

Through its environmental management system (certified under ISO 14001), CEZinc is committed to acting responsibly and adopting social, economic, and environmental practices that align with the priorities and values of the community.

CEZinc evaluates its own performance each year. Following an independent audit conducted by the Mining Association of Canada in 2014, CEZinc received recognition in the following areas:
